Death toll from St. Pete metro blast rises to 16, as injured woman dies in hospital

Around 10 people were feared dead and dozens injured Monday after an explosion rocked the metro system in Russia's second city Saint Petersburg, according to authorities, who were not ruling out a terror attack.

One more woman injured in the April 3 bomb attack in St. Petersburg’s metro system has died in the city’s hospital, St. Petersburg’s Deputy Governor Anna Mityanina said on April 21.

“A woman, born in 1960, who was injured in the terrorist attack died at 6:05 a.m. on April 21. She was in critical condition,” Mityanina wrote on her Twitter account.

This has brought the blast’s death toll to 16, including the suicide bomber.
