MOSCOW – Ekho Moskvy (Echo of Moscow) radio station journalist Tatyana Felgengauer has been placed in a medically-induced coma and put on a ventilator after having been operated on following a knife attack, Ekho Moskvy Editor-in-Chief Alexei Venediktov told Interfax on Oct. 23.
“The doctors said the knife thrust was serious. Tatyana is currently in a medically-induced coma and on a ventilator,” Venediktov said.
Felgengauer was assaulted at the radio station’s editorial office earlier on Oct. 23. The assailant forced his way into the office and stabbed her to the throat. She was hospitalized in serious condition.
