MOSCOW – The Moscow Prosecutor General’s Office has promised to process statements filed by citizens in connection with the high-profile remarks on Crimea made by television personality Kseniya Sobchak.
“The requests filed by citizens with the Moscow Prosecutor General’s Office for an inquiry into Kseniya Sobchak’s comments on Crimea will be processed in accordance with the law,” a service spokesperson told Interfax, adding that an inquiry had already begun.
Sobchak, who intends to run for president in 2018, said the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office was analyzing her comments on the territorial belonging of Crimea. In her words, as concerns international law, Crimea belongs to Ukraine.
