Police detained press secretary of Alexei Navalny’s campaign Ruslan Shaveddinov, who arrived to Kazan for a meeting with volunteers, on August 3, the oppositionist’s local office coordinator Elvira Dmitriyeva told Interfax.
“Employees of the E center [counter-extremism center] came to us and brought him to the Yapeevo police station,” she said.
Shaveddinov had to hold a meeting with volunteers at 7 p.m. at a campaign office in Kazan on August 3, Dmitriyeva said.
