A second miner at a Belarusian potash mine has refused to return to the surface in protest against the state company’s management and President Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s government.

Miners of Belaruskali, the largest potash fertilizer producer in Belarus, hold an indefinite strike in Soligorsk on Aug. 19, 2020. The miners are protesting against alleged electoral fraud committed by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko during the recent presidential election.
