WASHINGTON, D.C. – Russia cut its investments in U.S. Treasuries by $389 million in February 2021 compared to the previous month.

According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Russia owned U.S. Treasuries totaling $5.756 billion at the end of February against $6.145 billion the previous month. Specifically, Russia’s investments fell by $2.438 billion to $306 million in long-term securities, though they increased by $2.049 billion to $5.450 billion in short-term securities.
