SOCHI – Opposition politician Alexei Navalny may take part in Russian presidential elections after 2028, Russian Central Elections Commission head Ella Pamfilova said at the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi on Oct. 17.

“It is quite possible for him to run after this ten-year period expires, some time in 2028 plus five months. What’s his age? His entire life is ahead of him. He should view the situation from this angle. Let him try!” Pamfilova said.
