Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney has been accused of making a political blunder during a recent press conference in Moscow by saying he hopes to see an increase in trade with Russia “even in the face of sanctions and restrictions” which were imposed by the EU following the annexation of Crimea and military involvement in eastern Ukraine.
