The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine terminated the agreement with the Russian government on cooperation in the tourism sector.

The relevant decision was made at the March 31 government.

This agreement was signed in Kyiv on July 16, 1999.

According to the document, the sides pledged to assist public tourism authorities in establishing and expanding cooperation between Russian and Ukrainian tourism associations, organizations and enterprises of various forms of ownership, participating in the development of international tourism, investing in the tourism sector, and organizing joint ventures to service tourists.

It is noted that this decision was made due to Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, actual cooperation in this area has been ceased, and there are no prospects for establishing such cooperation in the future.
