RT, the Russian government television network, disclosed September 11 that one of its U.S. affiliates has been notified by the Justice Department that it must register as a foreign agent that is disseminating propaganda in the United States, according to Yahoo News.

Russia Today, the Moscow-based TV network financed by the government, is a key player in the Kremlin's campaign of distortion about events in Ukraine. Along with its Russian operation, RT operates an English-language broadcast out of Washington.
