‘The Lion King’ (in English)

The all-time favorite Disney cartoon “The Lion King” is back to cinemas in a new, computer-animated version. The creation of U.S. director and actor Jon Favreau, who was also behind “The Jungle Book,” the movie has been a long-awaited hit with a star cast. The voice of the main character, Simba, is U.S. actor, comedian and rapper Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino. The one and only U.S. singer Beyoncé performs as Simba’s childhood friend and future love interest Nala. The new version of the iconic story features some of the songs from the original 1994 film including “Circle of Life,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “Hakuna Matata.” Since its premiere on July 19, the film has already grossed over $1 billion worldwide. Now it will be screened in Kyiv in its original, English language.
