GusGus
The electronic duo GusGus from Iceland is coming to Kyiv to present their 10th album “Lies are More Flexible,” which was released in February. Initially formed as an avant-garde group of musicians, producers, filmmakers and performers, the band has since become one of the most influential electronic music groups in the world. Combining techno and soul genres, GusGus is famous for their driving rhythms and heartfelt vocals.

One of the most hilarious superheroes from the Marvel universe is to return to Kyiv’s big screens. “Deadpool 2” is the sequel to the 2016 film that follows a story of a man, who after unwillingly going through an experiment, gains some superhuman healing powers and a desire to avenge. In this movie, Deadpool gathers a group of mutants to form the X-Force and fight his new enemy, Cable. Famous for its bold humor and breaking the fourth wall, the film promises new experiments, with the characters commenting on the script and the way movie is shot. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin and Morena Baccarin, the film will be screened in English.

According to the online music magazine Resident Advisor, the annual electronic music festival Strichka is one of the top 10 events to be held in May around the world. Over 35 artists from the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ukraine and other countries will perform their DJ sets at the festival. Strichka will run non-stop for over 25 hours at one of the best Kyiv’s clubs, Closer. Check out the event to see what Ukrainian raves are like.

Kyiv Comic Con is the biggest pop culture festival in Ukraine, bringing together fans of comics and cosplayers. The event is an analogue of the iconic festival in San Diego, California, where the festival has an international status. Over two days, Kyiv Comic Con will hold a range of events, including comic books presentations, movies screenings, lectures and talks, and, of course, the cosplay show. Dress up as your favorite character and enjoy a fun weekend with Kyiv Comic Con.
