The European Union plans this week to exclude Ukraine from the “green list” of safe countries, whose citizens are allowed to enter the Union countries without any restrictions, Europe Editor Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak has said.

“Ukraine is set to be removed from the EU’s recommended safe third country COVID-19 travel list later this week. It was added [to the list] in mid-July, but a spike in recent cases means that the country won’t make the list any longer,” the journalist said on Twitter on Oct. 18.
