Amid lazy and crazy summer beach parties, it’s good to taste a classy evening of violins and cellos in the stately Philharmonics off European Square.
Young and ambitious “Kyiv Soloists” will cross over many genres: from baroque to 1970s rock.
Musicians will play the classics by Vivaldi, Bach, Rossini, and Mendelssohn and the 20th-century icons in the likes of the Beatles and Argentinean tango composer Piazzola.
It’s a three-hour program, so make sure to dine beforehand. Formed in 1995, the band toured the world and won many international prizes.
The Foreign Ministry awarded it with the title “Ukraine’s Culture Ambassador” for their sweeping success abroad.
