You're reading: Fun ways to enjoy safe yet spooky Halloween

When it comes to holidays, Halloween might be among the most popular. Even in Ukraine, where the holiday isn’t a traditional one, it attracts more and more people every year.

And the reason is simple — Halloween is all about dressing up and having fun.

This year Halloween falls on a Thursday, so the majority of celebrations will take place the weekends before and after the holiday. It’s the perfect time to carve a pumpkin, pick up a costume or get a scary makeup and join one of the numerous events happening around Kyiv.

Zombie Parade

Don’t be surprised if you see a crowd of spooky zombies walking along Kyiv’s streets this weekend. It’s just a zombie parade that traditionally takes place in the capital ahead of Halloween. The parade, as usual, will start near Zoloti Vorota metro station and proceed towards Sofiiska Ploshcha, then to Andriivski Uzviz, Kontraktova and Poshtova Square And coming to an end at the Parkovy Pedestrian Bridge.

However, not only zombies are welcome to join the parade. People dressed up as monsters, vampires, ghosts, witches and other scary characters can take part as well. And those who forgot to put on a costume can find some makeup artists providing their services for Hr 100–300 during the parade. This service is available with prior registration, so contact the event’s organizers via Facebook to get Halloween makeup — https://www.facebook.com/events/524171488160062/
