Above & Beyond from Britain and others to play at Godskitchen festival
The famous Godskitchen festival is coming to Kyiv again, this time starring one of the most popular British deejay projects, Above & Beyond, famous for remixes and progressive trance music.
The group’s tracks are regularly played by well-known deejays, such as Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Paul van Dyk. After building a strong reputation through remix work for acts like Adamski and Dario G, Above & Beyond’s major breakthrough came when they mixed Madonna’s single “What It Feels Like For A Girl.”
In fact, Madge was so impressed with their version that she decided to shoot a video to the Above & Beyond mix instead of the album version.
Since then, the guys have been busy making remixes treatment for artists like Delerium, Three Drives, and Japanese superstar Ayumi Hamasaki. The buzz around Above & Beyond also reached the US, where a remix of Armin Van Buuren’s “The Sound of Goodbye” enjoyed major radio play and became a number one hit on the Billboard Dance Chart.
In 2008, Above & Beyond’s single “Home” won Best Underground Dance Track at IDMA Awards at the Winter Music Conference. Currently the group is ranked No. 6 in the DJ MAG top 100 poll.
The rest of the Godskitchen Urban Wave line-up includes DJ Denis Dynamite, professional musician Slava Flash, Chief_MC, the always positive Mark Eteson and trance star Markus Schulz.
