Many popular pet accessories come with bright patterned onesies, bunny ears or other hilarious costumes.
However the newly launched Gromova is the first Ukrainian brand to offer stylish backpacks and hoodies for dogs to wear.
So far the brand offers backpacks and ‘oversize’ black hoodies that match the popular Kyiv street wear fashion that the dogs’ owners may sport.
“Why do we wear cool oversized things and the dog walking next to us is in a vest with parrots? Everything I created I did thinking ‘I would wear it myself,’” Karina Gromova, the creator of the brand, wrote on her Instagram.
The backpacks range from small to large sizes with the smallest costing Hr 1,400 ($50) and the largest costing Hr 1,800 ($65).
The backpacks include a pocket for the dog waste baggies, inner mesh pockets and external pockets with a velcro compartment. They can hold dog toys you take to the park, chew toys, water bottles and other items owners would like on hand while out with their dog.
They can also be used as a harness by attaching a leash to the backpack’s half ring.
The simple but sleek black hoodies range from small to extra large, able to fit breeds from chihuahuas to German shepherds. Small hoodies start at Hr 900 ($33) and Hr 1,300 ($47) for extra large hoodies.
The brand is also working on creating toys, dishes and other accessories.
