One of the world’s top streetwear brands, Off-White, is opening its first store in central Kyiv.
The label announced the news through a newly created Instagram account for its future Kyiv store on Sept. 6.
“Hello Kyiv,” reads one of the posts, as well as graffiti the brand shared through Instagram.
The announcement came just days after Off-White’s founder, U.S. designer and DJ Virgil Abloh, played at electronic music venue Kureni in Kyiv.
The store will be located in an alley off central Khreshchatyk Street, right next to other high-end brands such as Burberry and Salvatore Ferragamo. The address is 4 Zankovetskoi St. The opening date is yet to be announced.
Founded by Ablo in Milan in 2012, Off-White is one of the hottest streetwear brands today. In 2018, it was the world’s “hottest fashion brand,” according to the Lyst Index. The label beat such heavyweights as Gucci, Balenciaga, Nike, Prada and more.
Off-White specializes in high-end street clothes. Some of their hoodies cost up to $1,000. Their sneakers are resold for 450% of their original price. It’s favored by pop stars such as Rihanna and Kanye West.
