Ukrainian fashion designers have never been fans of malls, preferring smaller, secluded showrooms instead.

The map of such shops in Kyiv changes nearly weekly. Here’s a round-up of some of the best fashion showrooms that have opened in Kyiv recently.

Katimo Clothes

Katimo Clothes is the showroom of the young Ukrainian brand of the same name, which produces women’s clothes for all seasons and occasions: from sweatshirts and blazers to fancy sparkling dresses and sportswear. One of their key clothing lines is this winter’s trend — teddy coats. Stylish yet warm, teddy coats are called so because they are made from the fur used for teddy bears.

Hvoya

Hvoya is a multi-brand concept store that displays goods from a wide range of Ukrainian shoe and accessories producers, including Gor, Shama, Lookie, By Soul, Sasha Pikula, Marzo, Grie and Alina Kozhukhar. The showroom offers women’s shoes for any taste: Chelsea boots, knee-high heeled boots, square-heeled ankle boots and laced winter boots. The store also sells various bags and backpacks.

This showroom offers apparel for men produced by Ukrainian brand Freak Days. Their range of casual clothing and compact accessories are great for both everyday routine and adventurous traveling. This conceptual store is perfect for those looking for something to spice up a bland old wardrobe. Marque offers products by some niche foreign and Ukrainian brands, including Acler, Anouki, Tibi, Mrz, Lake, Lala Berlin. They sell clothing, shoes and accessories for women, picking out the most extraordinary pieces for their customers. The shop’s shelves are full of bright shoes, chunky jewelry, colorful hats, pajama suits and silk dresses.
