They crossed the globe from Sakhalin to California, but now legendary Ukrainian rockers Okean Elzy is coming back to Ukraine.

The grand tour in promotion of their new album Dolce Vita will end in Kyiv.

If you ask any Ukrainian to name the best Ukrainian rock band, you are very likely to hear the name Okean Elzy.

The front man Svyatoslav Vakarchuk’s raspy voice is one of the band’s trademarks.

Even though most of their songs are in Ukrainian, the band has an army of loyal fans all over the world.

Then a student of the Physics faculty in Lviv, Vakarchuk conceived the group in 1994.

Dolce Vita is their seventh album to date, created with the minimal use of music instruments.

The ticket price has been deliberately set low to allow as many of their fans as possible to attend the gig.
