Russian musician Alisher Morgenstern (Valeyev) is challenging the actions of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kyiv District Administrative Court, which led to the decision to include him in the list of persons posing a threat to the national security of Ukraine.

“The District Administrative Court of Kyiv has received a claim from Alisher Morgenstern to the Security Service of Ukraine regarding his inclusion in the list of persons who pose a threat to national security. Now the court is deciding whether to open proceedings on this administrative claim,” the press service of the District administrative court of Kyiv reported.

It is noted that, in particular, the plaintiff asks the court to recognize the actions of the SBU on the preparation of documents and an appeal to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine to include him in the list of persons who pose a threat to national security as illegal.

Morgenstern also asks to declare illegal and cancel the order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine to update the corresponding list, based on the request of the SBU and its publication on the official website, which is supplemented by it.

“In addition, Morgenshtern asks the court to demand from the SBU a decree banning him from entering Ukraine,” the message says.

As reported, in April, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, at the suggestion of the SBU, included the Russian musician Morgenshtern in the list of persons who pose a threat to national security.
