You're reading: Sarah Jessica Parker’s shoe brand starts selling in Kyiv

It’s hard to imagine a couple more iconic than Sarah Jessica Parker and her elegant heels.

The U.S. star of “Sex and the City” conveyed that love for shoes in her own brand SJP.

And starting Jan. 25, everyone can purchase satin stilettos and sandals by Parker in Kyiv Central Department Store, or TSUM.

As part of the announcement, Parker will talk about her brand during a live-streamed conversation moderated by TSUM’s Buying Director Olha Chaika. The live session will start at 5 p.m. on Jan. 26 through the department store’s Instagram account

“We can no longer be silent!” TSUM said on Instagram. “The dream of spending an evening talking to Sarah Jessica Parker thanks to the Central Department Store is becoming a reality!”

Parker will tell the online audience about her plans on the brand development, the process of designing shoe collections and her personal favorite pair. Chaika will also ask Parker some of the questions that TSUM’s followers sent via Instagram.

TSUM’s website now features eight pairs by SJP from the spring-summer 2021 resort collection that cost $385-645. The shoes, including famous blue satin pumps with crystal-embellished buckles that resemble the pair of Manolo Blahniks that Parker wore in the 2008 movie “Sex and the City,” are also available for purchase at the department store’s second floor at 38 Khreshchatyk St.

Satin stilettoes, sandals and high-heel boots by SJP, a shoe brand by U.S. actress Sarah Jessica Parker, are now available to buy through Kyiv Central Department Store, or TSUM, both online and on the store’s second floor. (SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker)

Just like her emblematic character of Carrie Bradshaw, a New York shoe aficionado who believed no one can have too many pairs and owned about 100 herself, Parker is a big shoe fan. The role gave her insights she used after founding her own brand.

“I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes…and by default, I learned an enormous amount,” the actress said in an interview with Vogue.

The actress founded the brand along with business partner George Malkemus in 2014. Aside from the United States, Parker’s shoes are sold in stores worldwide.

Every shoe pair design is developed under the actress’s supervision and is made by hand by Italian shoemakers, according to the brand’s website.

“We founded our footwear collection upon three main pillars: delivering quality products, using color and sparkle as a neutral, and giving the single sole a new heartbeat,” the brand’s website reads.
