Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West and her husband, 21-time Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West, sold their house in Los Angeles to a Ukrainian citizen, Marina Acton.
The house cost Acton a whopping $17.8 million, which makes it the most expensive deal ever made in the Bel Air neighborhood, according to the TMZ website.
Little is known about the Ukrainian buyer. In 2005-2010 Acton lived in Kyiv and worked as an assistant of then-Prosecutor General of Ukraine Sviatoslav Piskun.
Kyiv Post couldn’t reach Acton for a comment.
Josh Altman from American real estate company Douglas Elliman, who represented both sides in the home’s sale told the Wall Street Journal that Acton told him she was an entrepreneur and a philanthropist.
She also reportedly got married in August and plans to move to Los Angeles to start off a career as a singer.
The Ukrainian seems to be proud of the purchase: She’s been actively sharing news stories about the purchase on Facebook, where she registered this September, and Instagram.
“I like the gossips about Mrs. Marina Acton under-the-radar entrepreneur & philanthropist,” she commented on Facebook, where she registered this September. “I’m real and you will see me soon.”
The Ukrainian paid for the house twice as the Kardashian-West couple got it for in 2013. The 9,000-square-feet modern, minimalist mansion boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and an outdoor pool.
According to Acton’s LinkedIn profile, she moved to the United States at least seven years ago. She had an internship at Washington, D.C. Federal Courts in 2011 and worked in different companies since then till she founded her charity fund in 2017. Her bio on the fund’s website says that she obtained a law degree from the George Washington University.
Acton has been traveling a lot and working on her future singing career lately, according to her social media profile.
The Kardashian-West power couple, who are expecting their third child, is now moving to a new home in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles, according to the Wall Street Journal.
