You're reading: Ukrainian model becomes face of new Prada campaign

Ukrainian model Pasha Harulia has become the face of a new campaign by Italian fashion brand Prada.

The campaign, called “Real Life Comix,” promotes Prada’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

Harulia, 18, stars in the brand’s short film and photoshoot.

“The #PradaSS18 womenswear campaign is finally out! Lots of love to all my agents,” reads an Instagram post from the model with one of the campaign’s pictures.

Currently based in Kyiv, Harulia started doing modeling over a year ago. Since then, the Ukrainian model has worked in Paris (France), Tokyo (Japan) and Milan (Italy).

Filmed and photographed in Los Angeles, California, Prada’s “Real Life Comix” focuses on graphic designs resembling the style of comics.

“Prada Womenswear Spring/Summer 2018 collection presents a new vision of femininity, and feminism, framed by the work of female graphic artists,” reads the brand’s statement on its website.

The campaign was photographed by Belgian photographer Willy Vanderperre.

Both the fashion film and the photoshoot feature models wearing new Prada’s clothing with graphic prints, in an urban setting with comic-style graffiti on the walls.

Apart from Harulia, models of various origins starred in the campaign.

“Prada’s diverse cast of models are transformed into avatars of dynamism, authors of their own destiny, heroines of their own stories, for us to discover,” reads the brand’s statement.

Harulia previously did catwalk work for Prada last fall in Milan. She has also worked for Spanish fashion house Balenciaga and French clothing and footwear brand Vetements.
