Three-piece performance by Kyiv Modern Ballet

This performance by Kyiv Modern Ballet consists of three pieces. “Closer Than Love” shows three stages of a relationship: the birth, blossoming and the death of feelings. The second one is “1984. Another,” a ballet adaptation of George Orwell’s dystopian novel.  And “Con Tutti Instrumenti” will offer some contemporary choreography.

Don’t miss the last chance to visit an exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian artist Evgen Klimenko at the Angar cafe. The artist who works with various techniques brought together graphic works from the “My Nudes” series. The pieces depicting silhouettes of naked people explore the plasticity and elasticity of a human body. The exhibited artworks from the series are also available for sale for $50-400.

‘Art of Clip’ brooch exhibition

The National Art Museum of Ukraine, also known as NAMU, showcases a private collection of 1910-1970s brooches. The pieces belong to the Van Cleef & Arpels house of high jewelry founded in 1896 in Paris. Inspired by Renaissance fashion, the exhibition presents a collection of more than 80 brooches shapes as stylized ribbons, various curls, twisted ornaments and bows.

Ukrainian hip-pop band TNMK will perform their songs in jazz arrangement on Feb. 20 in Kyiv.

Ukraine’s legendary hip-hop band TNMK (Tanok na Maidani Kongo) will present their songs in jazz arrangements by Ukrainian jazz musician and composer Dennis Adu. They will play the program for the first time in Kyiv after giving a joint performance at Leopolis Jazz Fest, an international jazz festival in Lviv. One of the TNMK duo members, Oleh Mykhailyuta, said on Instagram that the show “turned out so great and powerful that we have no right to not play it anymore.”
