Outside Festival
Another weekend in Kyiv, another electronic music festival. This time, Closer club is hosting a two-day music and art festival Outside. Besides a run of DJ sets, the event will feature jazz and pop music shows, art lectures and exhibitions. The party’s lineup includes Ukrainian DJs Nastia Muravyova, Zolaa, Jana Woodstock and more, alongside German techno duo Schwefelgelb, French Arabian Panther, Hugo Capablanca from Spain and others. Jamala
On the last day of July, Ukrainian singer Jamala, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, will perform some of her well-known hits. The singer has prepared an “exclusive acoustic program” for the Kyiv audience, the organizers say. The music show will take place at one of the most romantic summer locations in Kyiv, the rooftop of the TsUM department store.

‘Futurespective’
Ukraine celebrates its 30th birthday as an independent country this August. To mark the big date, fashion magazine Vogue Ukraine has arranged an art exhibition called “Futurespective: 30 covers of Vogue UA from Ukrainian artists.” As the name of the exhibition hints, the exhibit features 30 magazine covers created by some well-known contemporary Ukrainian artists such as Pavlo Makov, Valeriia Trubina, Masha Shubina. The authors explored Ukraine’s future through art and now present their reflections to the public.

Powel, Votuma, Weizman
Outdoor entertainment venue Kureni continues to celebrate summer with hot parties every weekend. This time, Kureni welcomes all to enjoy music mixed by acclaimed German DJ Powel, known for a style that combines electronic beats with some delicate, melancholic rhythms. Apart from Powel, the party’s lineup also features local DJs Votuma and Weizman.

Old Friends Retro Market
Kyiv’s Old Friends Retro Market is back. Visitors to the two-day market will not only get a chance to shop for some rare vintage clothes, accessories and home decor, but also enjoy some live jazz music shows. The market will take place at the cozy yard in Kyiv’s historic Podil neighborhood, promising to add to the event’s atmosphere. Although the entrance to the market is free, visitors have to register here before attending.
