Kyiv Vinyl Music Fair

Vinyl fans in Kyiv should not miss the upcoming fair at the Dovzhenko Center. The capital’s long-time favorite Kyiv Vinyl Music Fair will bring together the sellers of rare old vinyl records and the very recent ones, literature about music and themed accessories.

‘Art Is Never Finished

The new exhibition at the Museum of Books and Printing is a chance to explore the artworks of Oleksandra Prahova, a late acclaimed Ukrainian graphic artist. Prahova is known for her bright, vivid and abstract paintings. Some of her pieces are exhibited in the collections of world-known museums in France, Germany and the United States. Although Prahova died in 2011, the current exhibition in the Museum of Books and Printing is here to prove that her art has a timeless value.

A rare hip-hop party is to be thrown by the Snakes promotion group in Kyiv nightclub Otel’. The lineup features locals Bob Croma, DJ Mfk, Solomadistrict, dd82, Crude, Cat C, as well as DJ Sacred, known for mixing hip-hop with dark ambient melodies. An early ticket costs Hr 220, Hr 250 at the entrance to the club before 8 p.m., and Hr 300 after 8 p.m.

Ukrainian symphony orchestra Lords of the Sound will play a collection of hits by internationally acclaimed German composer Hans Zimmer on March 20 in Kyiv.

Lords of the Sound, Ukraine’s most known symphony orchestra, will hold a rare these days grand concert. The collective will perform music written by the renowned German composer Hans Zimmer, known for creating music scores for such hit movies as “Interstellar,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Gladiator,” “Inception,” “The Lion King” and more. During the two-hour concert, Lords of the Sound will perform some of Zimmer’s most famous compositions from over a dozen movies.
