Kanvas x Flower Broadcast Systems

Berlin-based label Kanvas is partnering with Kyiv label Flower Broadcast Systems to throw a party celebrating German and Ukrainian underground music culture at Kyiv’s prominent club, Otel’. DJs from Berlin and Kyiv will cover each city’s signature music and sounds playing techno, trance, breaks, disco and more. The event will have two separate rooms with a total of 12 DJs playing through the night.

Garage Sale 13 at HVLV

HVLV bar is having a long-awaited summer garage sale. Accompanied by music with DJ residents of Radio Cosiacella such as Sugarreal, Bazaka, Batushka, Passionfruit and Qoozmk to provide a fun atmosphere, visitors will be able to enjoy cold beverages and browse vinyl, accessories, clothing and other knick-knacks on offer.

What used to be the territory of the Kureni restaurant has been transformed into an open space for food events, festivals and more. The Kureni city picnic offers a variety of activities during its weekend festival. There will be a vinyl, art and flower market, art installations and a children’s zone. Live music will play on two separate stages, with a lineup of 20 Ukrainian musicians, including pop singer Luna, closing the festival Sunday night. There will also be a food court with treats from popular Kyiv restaurants such as Italian Edition and Eastman. The event is pet-friendly.

Strada: Daniel Monaco

The Worn Pop promotion group and HVLV bar are launching a series of Italian Strada parties. Together with music label Slow Motion Music Italy, this monthly event will introduce guests to Italian dance wave. Daniel Monaco is the guest DJ of the first event. Attendees will be able to experience his style of obscure disco combining Italo dance, acid house of the 1990s, trance, techno, EBM and library music in a single stream.

Spring Retro Cruise

Celebrate Kyiv Day by going all retro with a bicycle parade, picnic, jazz and dances. Participants must follow a retro dress code. Starting with the registration of the bicycle parade on 2 Volodymyrska St., the parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. The celebration at Small Mariinsky Palace will begin shortly after. Attendees will dance to the Urban Gypsy group and romantic jazz hits played by Anyanya & Jazz Band later in the night.
