A parliamentary hearing on the state budget came to a halt on June 18 after Deputy Finance Minister Anatoly Myarkovsky left the rostrum 10 minutes into his report, while opposition lawmakers alleged he was drunk and smelled of alcohol.
Coincidentally, a Belarusian delegation headed by President Alexander Lukashenko was in Kyiv that day on an official state visit.
