European Union envoys Pat Cox, the former president of the European Parliament, and Alexander Kwasniweski, the former president of Poland, arrived in Ukraine for their 25th mission this week, trying to push the issue of ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymsohenko’s release from prison.
During one of their previous visits, Ukraine’s parliament voted on a
number of laws that would make the signing of an association and
free-trade agreement with the EU more likely. Ukrainians joke that the
duo should be cloned and posted in all government agencies to make them
work more efficiently.
