Part of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s calculation in ramping up the military offensive in July appears to be that the nation cannot expect much help from the West against the Kremlin-backed fighters who kill and rampage in Ukraine’s east.
America and the European Union have not only refused significant
military assistance, but Western politicians are still cuddling up to
the attacking Russian bear. Germany refuses to cut its trade ties.
Britain continues to shamelessly serve as the world’s banker for Russian
oligarchs and other shady billionaires. France, the most immoral of the
trio of European Union giants, still plans to arm Russia with two $1.6
billion modern Mistral warships as well as train Russian soldiers in how
to kill Ukrainians and other enemies more effectively.
