Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko on Sept. 5 appointed Oleh Valendyuk as first deputy chief prosecutor of Crimea.
The appointment was deemed illegal because Valendyuk is subject to the lustration law on firing top officials who served ex-President Viktor Yanukovych. He worked under Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka (pictured in the mirror) and got a bonus from him for cracking down on the EuroMaidan protesters.
