NEWS ITEM: Three sources in the Ukrainian government have told the Kyiv Post that President Volodymyr Zelensky is considering Serhiy Tigipko for prime minister. Reportedly, negotiations with Tigipko are still underway. Zelensky confirmed that he had met with Tigipko, who has a mixed reputation. In 1999-2000, Tigipko was economy minister in the government of then-Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko. Tigipko himself ran for president in 2010, winning third place. Then, he served as deputy prime minister when ousted President Viktor Yanukovych was in office.
