NEWS ITEM: Agents of the Security Service of Ukraine detained their own colleague, Major General Valerii Shaitanov, on April 14 on suspicion of being a Russian spy. Shaitanov was taken into custody on charges of working for Russia’s Federal Security Service, or FSB, and plotting the assassination of Chechen activist and war veteran Adam Osmayev. He faces charges of treason and terrorism.
