NEWS ITEM: Despite the coronavirus lockdown, Polish consular institutions in Ukraine resumed issuing work visas on May 4. Polish officials will issue visas for agricultural and horticultural work. Strawberry picking is one of the most popular seasonal jobs in Poland for Ukrainians. Prior to the resumption, Polish farmers voiced concerns about a labor shortage caused by current border restrictions. The season for strawberries usually starts in May-June.
