NEWS ITEM: On June 2, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to send military forces to restore order in cities rocked by protests over police brutality against black Americans. Police have already used force — including clubs, tear gas and rubber bullets — against demonstrators. The protests that became the EuroMaidan Revolution overthrew President Viktor Yanukovych after he repeatedly sent riot police to attack protesters, eventually killing around 100 people. Yanukovych was found guilty of high treason and sentenced to 13 years in prison in absentia.
