NEWS ITEM: On Aug. 11, a Kyiv minibus — or marshrutka — lost two wheels while in motion. Passing cars were damaged, but nobody got seriously hurt. According to a video posted by the police, when the two rear wheels fell off, the back of the minibus dropped down and started to drag on the ground. Public transportation in Kyiv is notorious for its old, underserviced buses, trolleybuses, trams and barely regulated, private marshrutkas.
