NEWS ITEM: Alexander Lukashenko is trying to prove foreign interference is behind the ongoing protests in Belarus. On Sept. 3, a recording was published that Lukashenko claimed captured a phone call between officials from Warsaw and Berlin. In it, they hint that the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny was falsified and praise Lukashenko, saying that he is standing strong in the face of the protests. Those comments led many to conclude that the conversation was fake.
