NEWS ITEM: Oligarch Vasyl Khmelnytsky, alongside his business partners, bought Kyiv’s Bilshovyk machinery plant on Oct. 27 in an auction that involved three bidders and lasted only six minutes. The final price was mere $53 million, a fraction of the plant’s estimated worth, and only 3% more than the starting price.
