NEWS ITEM: Since his presidential campaign, President Volodymyr Zelensky has placed a high priority on ending the war in the Donbas. After the Normandy Four meeting in Paris on Dec. 9, 2019, he even set a one-year deadline for his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to make progress on peace. That year has passed, but peace is no closer. Now, Zelensky’s goal of peace seems ever further off than before.
