NEWS ITEM: Maksym Pavliuk, a lawmaker with the Servant of the People party, has won the lottery six times, according to his electronic declaration. Pavliuk, who’s also a deputy head of the parliament committee on law enforcement, received $71,500 from different lottery companies in 2020. Pavliuk was lucky in the past too — he declared he won the lottery in 2019 and received $32,000 and, in 2018 — about $6,000. Another people’s servant, Oleh Lyashko, former lawmaker who led his own Radical Party faction in 2006-2019, won the national lottery three times in 2017. Back then he declared that he had won $21,300 from three different national lottery draws in his income statement.
