About 11,500 people took part in the 9th Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon on Oct. 7.
The event featured many different races, including a full marathon of 42 kilometers, a half-marathon of 21 kilometers, a 10- kilometer and a 5-kilometer race, a special 10-kilometer race for war veterans, a family run, and others.
The marathon runners started the race on Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square, continued through Pechersk, went to the left bank of Kyiv, returned to the center, went down to Podil and finished on Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square.
The winner among men was Artem Piddubniy, who completed the 42-kilometer marathon in 2 hours 28 minutes.
Among women, the winner Yuliya Tarasova completed the marathon in 2 hours 54 minutes.
