Relative calm prevailed in the 15-day-old standoff between police and protesters on Hrushevskoho Street in Kyiv, the gateway to the government district. The numbers have dwindled on both sides, but the face-off is not likely to end soon as politicians remain deadlocked. Parliament meets on Feb. 4 to discuss changes in the constitution to curb presidential powers, but no breakthrough appears imminent as both sides distrust each other.
