Cherry blossoms have started to bloom in Kyiv.
The best place to enjoy cherry blossoms in Kyiv is Kioto Park, which has a 900-meter alley with 380 cherry trees planted in 2011 to mark the anniversary of the diplomatic friendship between Ukraine and Japan. There are 15 different types of cherry trees there with white and rose flowers.
Usually, cherry blossoms bloom in Kyiv at the beginning of May, but this year they bloomed earlier. Despite the quarantine, a lot of people came to see the sakura blossoms in Kioto Park. Visitors walk around, take pictures, and enjoy the warm weather and beautiful flowers.
Other places where one can see cherry flowers in Kyiv are Hryshko Botanical Garden and parks Druzby Narodiv, Natalka, Mariinsky, as well as the garden near the President’s Office building.
