On Jan. 24, the celebrations of the Chinese New Year kicked off in Kyiv with a festival of giant Chinese Lanterns.
The festival, which features lights and fire shows, takes place at the Spivoche Pole Park in the Pechersk district. It will run until Feb. 23.
The Chinese New Year is celebrated on Jan. 25 in 2020. According to the Chinese calendar, this is the year of the White Metal Rat.
