The small Kovcheg orphanage in the pine tree forests of Pusha-Vodytsya, a Kyiv suburb, is home for 25 children from ages 6 to 18. On New Year's Eve, these children don’t ask Santa Claus (or his Slavic counterpart Father Moroz) about sweets or toys, because they just want to have the love of a family. At the time the Kyiv Post came, the children took part in New Year preparations and were busy making Christmas-tree decorations.
