It’s likely not a record you knew existed, but now it has been broken in Kyiv.
On Feb. 15, a day after Valentine’s Day, 55 couples gathered on an ice rink at Kyiv’s VDNH exhibition center and kissed. Their goal? To break the country’s record for “figure kissing” — the combination of figure skating and kissing.
According to the TSN news program, the participants included couples who had never before skated, adding an additional challenge to breaking the record. Thankfully, acrobatics were not required to break the record, and most couples simply stood and kissed.
The 55 couples’ accomplishment was recorded in Ukraine’s National Book of Records.
