Around 50 cyclists came to the Kyiv City Council to take part in a die-in rally on March 14, demanding of safe and modern infrastructure for cycling.
They lay on the ground with their bikes nearby to draw attention to the high risk of cycling in Ukraine’s capital.
Kyiv has seen a massive increase in the number of private cars on its streets since Ukraine became independent over 27 years ago, but there are few bicycle lanes or paths for cyclists to use.
