European countries marked the day of Victory in Europe in World War II on May 8 with official ceremonies and celebrations.

Ukraine started celebrating May 8 in 2015 as the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. It still celebrates the Victory Day on May 9, too, following the Soviet tradition of marking the victory.
