May is off to a rainy start in Kyiv. On the afternoon of May 4, heavy rain hit the city for the third consecutive day.
While the city services didn’t yet report the amount of rainfall for the day, the weather forecast had it at approximately 10 millimeters. It came and went quickly, but left some streets flooded.
A storm warning was announced in Kyiv for May 5, with 7 millimeters of rain expected. The temperature will be reaching +23 Celsius.
The rains will continue on May 6-8, according to the forecast, but will bring only up to 3 millimeters of rainfall per day.
Ukraine gets between 500 and 600 millimeters (20 and 23.5 inches) per year.
